Perlite is an inert, specific type of expanded volcanic rock characterized by high porosity and strong stability, making it a material with excellent air permeability and drainage. It is obtained through a thermal expansion process, and the addition of perlite to the cultivation matrix improves the oxidation of the roots and ensures the long-lasting stability of its structure. Tests have proven that a particle size of 2-6 mm has the best effect.

Perlite is one of the ideal raw materials for mixing nutrient soil (ratio 10%-40%); the only thing to note is that it needs to be stirred thoroughly and evenly before use to avoid the problem of uneven plant root growth.
